REVIEW: Mejie Slimming Coffee Plus Collagen

I'm a confessed coffee drinker, it is my most consumed drinks which started when I worked on a graveyard shift. Now that I'm a fulltime Mom, I just can't get it out of my diet since it keeps me awake. Hehe. I usually consume 2-3 glasses of it a day.

I recently shared in my IG account a slimming coffee which I received from Yumei Mise along with other skin care products.

Slimming Coffee
Php 250.00 per box of 12

Mejie Slimming Coffee is not your ordinary coffee as it contains L- Carnitine, Green Tea Extract, Collagen, Garcinia Cambogia Extract, and Stevia.

L-carnitine is a naturally occurring amino acid derivative that's often taken as a weight loss supplement.

Green tea is loaded with polyphenol antioxidants.

Collagen is known as anti-aging cure

Garcinia Cambogia is a citrus fruit that grows in Southeast Asia which is a popular weight-loss supplement.

Stevia is a natural sweetener

VERDICT:

What I like about this coffee is the taste. It is not too sweet and has no unnecessary taste. No laxative effect (no rushing to the restroom) too. It is an instant coffee so you just need to add a cup of hot water, easy peasy.

Just a little background, I have a history of heart palpitations with coffee, maybe because of the mixture of components. But once I get used to it, it will just stop. I tried this for almost two weeks, morning and afternoon. So, during my first cup, I had palpitations which I just ignored since it is a normal reaction to my body whenever I intake a different kind of coffee. On the succeeding cups, no more palpitations, as expected.

I think with continued consumption, along with exercise and proper diet, this will help you achieve a slimmer body and of course whiter skin. Although it is always best to discuss with your doctor should you be adding a dietary supplement to your weight loss plan especially for long-term use.

You can order this at www.asianskymall.com.ph or thru their Facebook Page.

I Am Married to a Carpenter

My husband Romel loves woodworking a lot! Every time he has spare time after work or on weekends, he prefers doing items from wood. Even when he is sick, he is always itching to have his hands work on woods. He is not just our Tsep Dad, but our house carpenter too.

woodworking

He shared when he was young, every time his Titos work on carpentry, he is there to observe and sometimes to give a helping hand. His Papa is also good at woodworking and so was his Lolo. So, this is really something innate to him.

woodworking

I love that he always gives his best in every project. Although these are home projects, he is using the opportunity to practice and I've seen his improvements all this time. Lord willing, he wants to make it an extra source of income. But at this point, he will continue to practice to improve his craft. As a wife, I'm just here to support his endeavors.

woodworking
Latest Project: Bookshelf for Gael

He also made several other things in our house such as our dining table, floating bookshelf, and many more. I've put up a facebook page for his works so that it will be easy to browse through them, you can check it here (it is still in progress). :)

woodworking
Biggest project thus far

So, what it's like to be married to a carpenter? It's actually a blessing! We don't need to buy furniture for our house and for our homeschooling. As you know, furniture made from wood are really costly and I'm just thankful for my husband's new found hobby. His works may not be perfect but it was made with love.

Super Blue Blood Moon 2018

We didn't miss the opportunity to witness another spectacular phenomenon, the Super Blue Blood Moon last January 31, 2018.

Super Blue Blood Moon 2018

The Jan. 31 full moon is special for three reasons: it’s the third in a series of “supermoons,” when the Moon is closer to Earth in its orbit -- known as perigee -- and about 14 percent brighter than usual. It’s also the second full moon of the month, commonly known as a “blue moon.” The super blue moon will pass through Earth’s shadow to give viewers in the right location a total lunar eclipse. While the Moon is in the Earth’s shadow it will take on a reddish tint, known as a “blood moon.” ~ NASA

Fortunately, there's a free telescope viewing near us headed by the Astronomy and Physics Society of St. Edward Integrated Schools (APSSEIS).

Super Blue Blood Moon 2018

We were one of the early birds and we got a view of the moon at around 8:00 PM. But it was still early so the moon is not yet reddish. Both my kids want to have another round so we decided to take our dinner and went back at 9:30 PM for the eclipse.

Super Blue Blood Moon 2018

When we came back, the line was already very long so we were able to have our turn to see the "blood moon" past 10:00 PM. Anyhow, we had a great time admiring it while lining up, waiting for our turn. We want to enjoy this once in a lifetime experience as much as we can. Although I wish we have our own telescope so we can have all the time we want to peek and appreciate the moon's magnificence.

The next day, we watched a time-lapse video of the Super Blue Bood Moon from facebook and we decided to sketch the moon during our tea time.

The heavens are telling of the glory of God, And their expanse is declaring the work of His hands. ~ Psalm 19:1 NASB

It was a beautiful sight to behold and we are in awe! We praise the Lord for this wonderful creation. Truly, the heavens declare your glory!

Life with Glasses

Life with Glasses

Our eldest son got his pair of glasses last January 28, thus the start of his life with glasses.

Who would have thought that our kids, Gabi and Gael will be both wearing glasses while me and my hubby both have good eye vision (20/20)?

Life with Glasses

Life with Glasses

Our eldest son got his pair of glasses last January 28, thus the start of his life with glasses.

Who would have thought that our kids, Gabi and Gael will be both wearing glasses while me and my hubby both have good eye vision (20/20)?

When we were told last 2017 by Gabi's Optha that his eyes are on the borderline, we didn't make it a big deal since she said, he will be needing glasses if it is affecting his schooling. But because we are homeschooling, we can always adjust. We praise God for that. So, we didn't rush on getting him one.

The past few months Gabi has been complaining about his blurry vision when afar. We just explained to him that since it is not yet making a big impact on him, might as well try to adjust with it. The thought of him wearing glasses was something we suppressed the situation. We kept on convincing him how inconvenient it is to have glasses whenever he will express the need.

When we came back to a different Optha this 2018, we were advised that our son is actually nearsighted and he needs to wear glasses. Whether he wears glasses or not, his grade will increase. This is contrary to the myth that using it will weaken eyesight, and the eyes will eventually become dependent on them. The doctor explained to us that with or without glasses, his eye grade will increase because his eyeballs are still growing.

This is somehow disheartening as a parent, our natural response would be, what happened? But then again I love to be reminded of this passage:

9. As he went along, he saw a man blind from birth. 2 His disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?”
3 “Neither this man nor his parents sinned,” said Jesus, “but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him.

While Gabi is not blind, this is the same verse I hold on to with my youngest son who was diagnosed with Congenital Cataract. Instead of playing the blaming game or pointing fingers, we put our trust in God. Oftentimes we ask the Lord, "Why", but I've learned to ask "What" instead. "What do you want us to learn from this, Lord?". The Lord kept reminding us that our children are not ours, they are not our possession. They belong to God and whatever happens to them, He is in control. He will allow things to happen for His purpose, for His glory. And I can rest on the truth that all things work together for our good (Rom. 8:28).

Life with Glasses

Gabi was so happy when he got his glasses. He said he can see clearly and he was overjoyed. He praised the Lord for this answered prayer! We are just so grateful to God for the access and provision for vision care because life without glasses wouldn't have been pleasant. We also thank God for Ms Nyree. She took care of my boys' glasses. She always makes sure to give us the best at a very affordable price.

Who would have thought that our kids, Gabi and Gael will be both wearing glasses? Nonetheless, who am I to complain? Despite the fact that their eyes will never be perfect here on earth, we cling to His promise of perfect bodies in heaven, no sickness, no disease.
