REVIEW: Estan's Malumansi Concentrate

Estan's Malumansi Concentrate

One of the many things this ongoing pandemic teaches us is taking care of ourselves, making sure we boost our immune system by taking our daily dose of vitamins. We make sure to eat and take in healthy foods.

Isn't it amazing that those things that we usually have taken for granted, we are now giving much importance? We see every day how frail humans are, oh how this pandemic points us back to the right priorities and reminds us of things which really matters.

Even I recognized these things and somehow became more intentional on the things I have control of such as what my family is eating. I make sure that we have a balanced diet and fruits are always available at the table. No junk food and fewer sweets these days. Although we give occasionally treats for the kids.

This is why I am so happy to receive and to try Estan's Malumansi Concentrate.

Estan's Malumansi Concentrate

VERDICT:

Being in a tropical country, we are very much familiar with Malunggay and Calamansi. We see them everywhere, at least here in our subdivision. Many of us use it to detox or to add more nutrients to our diet. It has been an immune booster for generations.

For nursing Moms like me, this is a great way to increase milk supply and production. Malunggay leaves have been proven for their ability to enhance breastmilk.

I like that Estan's Malumansi is very concentrated. You need to mix it in water and adjust the taste according to your preference. The taste is good, calamansi has an overpowering kick but you can smell the aroma of Malunggay and the sweetness is just enough. I tried both hot and cold and it's equally good.

The bottles that we got didn't take long in our refrigerator. I was surprised when I was looking for it that the last bottle is almost empty. The culprit is my eldest son who's been drinking it from time to time! He said he likes it very much and is begging me to get more.

I love the packaging of this juice. They used a clear glass bottle to keep it fresh, I actually kept the empty one. The price is ok for a 500ml. I think sulit na siya since it can serve 10-12 glasses.

Estan's Malumansi Concentrate

Will Recommend? Definitely! This is a great replacement for unhealthy drinks like soft drinks. If you struggle to eat enough fruits and vegetables each day, this is a convenient way to increase and get those important nutrients.

Teach Your Child to Read

Teach Your Child to Read

Let me share with you how to teach your child to read. This is what I did to my preschooler and it works for us.

After much contemplation, I decided not to use a reading curriculum for my preschooler. This is after mustering all the courage I have. Well, I'm not very confident without a curriculum. But I chose to trust the Charlotte Mason process of teaching him in a gentle, natural way.

We did letter recognition and phonics earlier on. We read aloud living books almost every day. Then we level up to word building and sight words.

In this video, we will show you how we do Word Building:

Here is how we do Sight Words based on Simply Charlotte Mason.

Sight Words - PART 1:

Sight Words - PART 2:

We rejoice as our #LittlestManGael is officially reading from a book! Another CM win for our family!

It was a blessing and a privilege as a Mom to be able to witness and assist in this new milestone of our 6 yo. I know this is not the earliest age a child can learn how to read (my eldest learned at age 4 in a conventional school). But this is a completely different approach to what we grew up with, back in the old days.

At first, I doubted if I'll be able to teach him how to read or if I'm capable to do it. I asked myself what if he will not learn soon? Or worst what if he will never learn to read at all? You know all those questions.. I was panic-stricken and I almost got myself a reading curriculum to aid and guide me in doing so. But I have to remind myself several times that the key here is not to hurry, don't push, and just take our time. Most importantly, to trust the method.

With Charlotte Mason-style reading lessons, it wasn't difficult at all, no fuss and definitely no tears. You don't even need those expensive curriculums in the market. It's very natural that I just woke up one day and heard my #LittleManGael reading by himself. My Momma ❤️ is so happy and I praise God for this wonderful opportunity to educate my brood.

Gadi's 100+ Foods Before One Year Old

Baby-led Weaning Philippines

We've reached another milestone in our Baby-Led Journey! In 2 months journey, we've reached the 100+ Foods Before One Year Old! We've made it!

We started solid foods with baby-led weaning when Gadi was 7 months old. We waited for all the signs of readiness to be met before diving in. He is now at 9 months old and has eaten over 100 different foods. Wahay! These include fruits and veggies, grains, dairy, and proteins.

According to BabyCentre.co.uk, here are the signs that your baby is ready:
  • sits up with no support
  • reaches for objects and brings them to her mouth
  • interested in your food and tries to make a grab for it
  • makes chewing movements

Eating a wide variety of healthy foods is a great way to ensure that your child is getting the maximum nutrition and expanding their palette in the process.

So, here's the list of different foods that our #LittlestManGadi tasted:
