REVIEW: Dula Silicone Breast Pump
It's been a while since I made a product review. This time I am going to review a breastfeeding staple that every breastfeeding mom should have.
As I've shared, I've been exclusively breastfeeding my third son, our #LittlestManGadi since he was born. This is a dream come true for me. The journey was not easy at first, but it's all worth it. Read more about it here.
I purchased this product online based on the recommendations of some breastfeeding moms. I didn't have it after giving birth but I decided to buy it later on.
PACKAGE INCLUDES:
1 110ml Dula Pump
1 Lid
*I ordered an additional stopper.
FEATURES:
BPA, PVC and Phthalate free materials - milk remains natural and safe for your baby's consumption.
100% Food grade silicone
Easy to use and clean
PRICE: Php 535
PRODUCT CLAIMS:
- Collects "let-down" or breast milk leaks
- It helps relieve engorgement with its natural suction pressure.
- Portable, lightweight and easy to use. Fits into any bag or diaper bag. Perfect for travel and when on-the-go.
HOW TO USE:
Before using it, be sure to clean and sterilize the pump and lid.
You will create suction by compressing the center pump. Press the flange of the pump against your breast and release it. Once you get seal and suction, there is no need to repeatedly squeeze the pump.
If you don't feel comfortable with the suction, squeeze the pump slightly to reduce suction then release until you get your best fit.

VERDICT:
For me, it serves its purpose of collecting "let-down" while nursing on the other side. It's a great relief for engorgement and very useful during the early stage of breastfeeding (first 3 months), while there's a leak. The suction is fine, it is tight, easy to use, and clean. However, you can't really use it as a pump but more of a catcher.
WILL RECOMMEND:
Yes, for the first three months of breastfeeding only. Useful for collecting "let-down" while the baby is on the latch.
